BJP candidate list Lok Sabha 2024 LIVE: PM Modi wishes 195 candidates ‘very best’, says candidates for remaining seat…

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) released the first list of 195 candidates for the upcming Lok Sabha elections here in the national capital on March 2.  

The first list of 195 candidates features high-profile names such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will again contest from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah who will contest from Gandhinagar in Gujarat. 

The list, which has names of 34 Union Ministers and Ministers of State, comes days before the dates of Lok Sabha polls 2024 – to be held in April-May – are announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will contest from Lucknow while Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani from Amethi.  

Of the 195 constituencies, 51 are from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from West Bengal and five from Delhi. The list, that includes includes names of 28 women, 47 leaders under the age of 50 and 57 members from the OBC community, was read out by BJP National General Secretary, Vinod Tawde in presence of BJP National Vice President Jay Panda.

Among other Union Ministers, Jyotiraditya Scindia has been fielded from Guna, Arjun Meghwal will contest from Bikaner, Bhupendra Yadav from Alwar and  Rajeev Chandrashekhar from Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla will contest from Kota while former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Chouhan from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh, 

In Jammu and Kashmir, the party has repeated Union Minister Jitendra Singh and present member of parliament Jugal Kishore from Udhampur and Jammu parliamentary seats, respectively. Actor-turned politician Hema Malini will again contest from her seat Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. 

The BJP has kept 370+ seats target for the party in the upcoming polls and 400+ for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). .

In 2019, the Lok Sabha polls were held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19 to elect the members of the 17th Lok Sabha. The result, declared on May 23, saw a landslide victory for the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi with 303 seats in the 543-member House.

The speculation over the first list of BJP candidates started doing rounds after a marathon meeting of BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) was held on February 29. Two sitting MPs Gautam Gambhir from East Delhi and Jayant Sinha from Hazaribagh have already opted out of Lok Sabha polls earlier in the day. 

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP’s national President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Organisation General Secretary BL Santosh, Chief Ministers, State Presidents, n-charges, co-in charges, and election in-charges of various states.

Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Assam, Uttarakhand, and Goa were also present.

Tata Motors showcased the Harrier EV at the Auto Expo 2023 on 11 January 2023 and is expected to be launched in the coming months. 

What variants will it get? 

Tata has not revealed the variants of the Harrier EV yet but we expect it to be offered in two variants, namely Medium Range and Long Range. 

What features are available in the Harrier EV?

Exterior

The Harrier EV, like its standard version, will be a five-seater SUV. Appearance-wise, it will have a modern grille taking inspiration from the Curvv Concept. The headlamp and characteristic LED tail lamps will have a modern lighting signature. Compared to the standard Harrier, the electric derivative is expected to be offered in similar colours seen on the Tiago EV and Tigor EV with blue accents around it. 

Interior

Tata is expected to make use of a more modern infotainment system compared to the one used in the standard Harrier. Apart from that, the cabin layout is expected to remain more or less unchanged over the conventionally powered Harrier. The five-seater SUV will offer ample space inside the cabin along with the modern-day creature comfort expected from its segment. This will include a digital driver’s display, panoramic sunroof, connectivity, and an ADAS safety suite. 

What are the engine, performance, and specifications of the Harrier EV?

Tata Motors at the Auto Expo 2023 has confirmed that the Harrier EV is based on the Gen2 architecture. It will also feature an AWD configuration which means there will be a two-motor setup – one on each axle. Other technical details regarding the battery and power output along with range and charging capacity aren’t revealed yet. 

Is the Harrier EV a safe car? 

The upcoming Tata Harrier EV hasn’t been tested for NCAP rating yet.

What are the rivals to the Harrier EV? 

Upon its launch, the Harrier EV will not have any direct rivals in its segment.

ગુજરાતના મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલે ટ્વિટ કર્યું હતું કે રાજ્ય સરકારના કર્મયોગીઓ એ સુશાસનની વિભાવનાને સાકાર કરતો આધારસ્તંભ છે. આ કર્મયોગીઓ અને તેમના પરિવારજનોના હિતને ધ્યાને રાખીને આજે વિવિધ નિર્ણયો કર્યા. રાજ્ય સરકારના કર્મચારીઓને કેન્દ્રના ધોરણે મોંઘવારી ભથ્થામાં 4 ટકા વધારાનો લાભ 1 જુલાઈ 2023થી આપવામાં આવશે. આ મોંઘવારી ભથ્થાના વધારાનો લાભ રાજ્ય સરકારના, પંચાયત સેવાના તથા અન્ય એમ કુલ 4.45 લાખ કર્મયોગીઓ અને અંદાજે 4.63 લાખ જેટલા નિવૃત્ત કર્મચારીઓ એટલે કે પેન્શનર્સને મળવાપાત્ર થશે.

મોંઘવારી ભથ્થાની 8 માસની એટલે કે 1 જુલાઈ 2023 થી ફેબ્રુઆરી-2024 સુધીની તફાવતની રકમ ત્રણ હપ્તામાં પગાર સાથે ચૂકવવામાં આવશે.

Hyundai India has revealed the 2024 Creta N Line in full and has commenced bookings for the upcoming model. . The SUV has upgrades akin to those of the Hyundai Venue N-Line and i20 N-Line, and it is essentially the sportier version of the Creta.

For starters, the Hyundai Creta N-Line, with its WRC-inspired look, has a revised front bumper with red accents and a redesigned front grille with the N-Line insignia. The all-new R18 alloy wheels with red front and rear brake calipers and red side sill inserts give the Hyundai Creta N Line’s side profile an aggressive look.The Hyundai Creta N Line features a revised rear end with a twin tip exhaust setup and a skid plate with red inlays.

Apple is anticipated to make significant updates to the iPhone 16 series by enlarging the iPhone 16 Pro to 6.3 inches and the iPhone 16 Pro Max to 6.9 inches. This will be the first size upgrade in a few years. However, only the iPhone 16 Pro models will see these changes, as the iPhone 16 models will retain the same size as the iPhone 15 models. While there will be adjustments in size, the overall designs will remain largely unchanged.

Apple is designing new A-series chips for the iPhone 16 lineup, built on the latest N3E 3-nanometer node. We could see some improvements to efficiency and performance, but we haven’t yet heard details on just what we can expect.

The Action Button that was limited to the iPhone 15 Pro models is expected to expand to all four iPhone 16 models in 2024, and the iPhone 16 lineup is also rumored to have a new “Capture Button” that’s used for taking photos and videos. The Capture Button will work like the shutter button on a digital camera, detecting multiple levels of pressure for focusing and then capturing an image.

For the iPhone 16 models, Apple is planning a new vertical camera lens arrangement that is a departure from the prior diagonal lens setup. The new orientation will presumably allow the standard iPhone 16 models to capture Spatial Video for the Vision Pro headset. Apple is also expected to bring the Tetraprism 5x optical zoom lens to the iPhone 16 Pro, so it may not be limited to just the iPhone 16 Pro Max this year.

iPhone 16 Design

Apple tested several designs for the standard iPhone 16 models, but ultimately decided on a vertically aligned camera system with a pill-shaped camera bump. Prior iPhones have used a square-shaped camera bump to accommodate the diagonal lenses, but Apple is able to slim down the camera bump with the new lens arrangement.

The pill-shaped bump houses the separate Wide and Ultrawide lenses. The microphone will be next to the lenses, while the camera flash will be located on the back of the device outside of the bump.

On the left side of the iPhone, Apple plans to replace the mute switch with the Action button, and the iPhone 16 models will adopt the same button that was introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro models. The volume buttons will be located below the Action button.

The right side of the device will feature a new Capture Button, which will be located where the mmWave antenna has been on prior iPhone models in the U.S. It is located in a spot that will make it easy to press when the iPhone is in a landscape orientation. Apple plans to move the mmWave antenna to the bottom left side of the iPhone 16.

Aside from the new vertical lens arrangement and the Capture Button, the iPhone 16 models will have the same general design as the iPhone 15 models with no notable changes to body shape or size.

Size Changes for iPhone 16 Pro

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to have larger display sizes, according to multiple sources. The iPhone 16 Pro will have a display that’s 6.27 inches in size (rounded to 6.3), while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to have a display that’s 6.85 inches in size (rounded to 6.9).

With the increase in display size, the dimensions of the iPhone’s body will also increase. Both models are expected to be taller and wider than the iPhone 15 Pro models, and while thickness will remain the same, the weight will increase slightly due to the larger size. General shape and design will not be updated.

Day trading guide for Indian stock market today: On account of weak global market sentiments, the Indian stock market ended lower on Monday. The Nifty 50 index lost 90 points and closed at the 22,122 level, the BSE Sensex dipped 352 points and ended at the 72,790 mark whereas the Bank Nifty index corrected 235 points and closed at the 46,576 level. In the broad market, the small-cap index fell less than the Nifty 50 index even as the advance-decline ratio fell to 0.64:1.

According to Indian stock market experts, the Nifty 50 index is in the 22,050 to 22,250 range and breakout on either side will provide a proper direction. On stocks to buy today, experts listed out eight buy or sell stocks — TVS Motor, HFCL, L&TFH, CUB, HUDCO, CDSL, Gujarat Fluorochemicals, and SONACOMS.

On the outlook for the Nifty 50 today, Nagaraj Shetti, Senior Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities said, “The near-term uptrend of the Nifty 50 index remains intact. Having faced a hurdle at 22,250 to 22,300 levels, there is a possibility of a minor dip in the market next week and that could be a buy-on-dips opportunity. Immediate support for Nifty today is placed at 22,040 levels.”

Vaishali Parekh, Vice President — Technical Research at Prabhudas Lilladher said, “The Bank Nifty index as compared to the Nifty 50 index is witnessing sluggishness and with near-term support maintained near the 50EMA level of 46,200 zones, it would need to breach above the 47,300 band to trigger for fresh upward move.”

On the outlook for the Indian stock market today, Aditya Gaggar Director of Progressive Shares said, “With a bearish divergence in RSI, the Nifty 50 index has made a small bearish candle. The 50-stock index is oscillating in a range of 22,050 to 22,250 and breakout on either side will provide a proper direction.”

Speaking on the Nifty Call Put Options data, Chinmay Barve, Head of Technical and Derivative Research at Profitmart Securities said, “One of the major total Call open interest was seen at 22300 and 22500 strikes with total open interest of 139498 and 147503 contracts respectively. The strike price of 22200 saw one of the major open interest addition of 58873 contracts,” adding, “One of the major Put open interests was seen at 22000 and 21900 strikes with a total open interest of 136278 and 97725 contracts respectively. One of the major Put open interest additions was seen at 22100 strike which added 32393 contracts in open interest.”

Bank Nifty Call Put Option data
On Bank Nifty Call Put Options data, Chinmay Barve of Profitmart Securities said, “One of the major total Call open interest was seen at 46800 and 47000 strikes with total open interest of 102010 and 252013 contracts respectively in open interest. The strike price of 46700 saw one of the major additions of 55906 contracts in open interest,” adding, “One of the major total Put open interest was seen at 46500 and 46000 strikes with a total open interest of 136143 and 136701 contracts respectively. One of the major Put open interest additions was seen at 46600 strike which added 41208 contracts in open interest.”

OnePlus is also boasting about the impressive battery life of the Watch 2, claiming it can last up to 100 hours in “full Smart Mode.” This beats competitors like the Apple Watch Series 9, setting a high bar for battery endurance in the smartwatch market.

Interest in the device seems to be high, as over 1,500 pre-reserve passes have already been sold out ahead of the event. However, you can still secure your device by pre-reserving it for Rs 99 on the official OnePlus India website. Plus, those who do will get a Rs 1,000 discount on the watch and a free pair of Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC earphones.

While the exact features are still under wraps, leaks suggest that the OnePlus Watch 2 will feature a 1.43-inch AMOLED display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset. As for the operating system, it’s expected to run on Wear OS, but whether it’ll be Wear OS 3 or Wear OS 4 remains unclear.

Most pilgrims told  that the darshan of Ram Lalla once inside the temple complex took them less than an hour. But all of them had a common thread of thought — a feeling of pride and glory to be at the temple

More than 50 lakh people have visited the Ram temple in Ayodhya so far, 30 days after the historic Pran Pratistha (consecration) ceremony of the temple in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, government officials .

The walk and queues are still long but well managed and wait times are short. Most pilgrims told  that it took them less than an hour to have darshan (darshan) of Ram Lalla once inside the temple complex. But they all had one thing in common – a feeling of pride and glory in being in the temple.

Those who have seen Ramlala under the tent have come here specifically to see the abode of the Lord transformed into a grand temple. “It brought tears to my eyes. I last came in 2004 and after having darshan of Ramlala under a dirty tent, vowed never to return. This time, I have also brought my children so that they can see our roots,” a woman who came with her family from Noida told  “This is a proud moment for Hindus.”

Now more than half a dozen flights are landing in Ayodhya every day, new Aastha trains are bringing thousands of pilgrims to the holy city every day, and the Uttar Pradesh government has expanded the bus fleet – contributing to the crowd of nearly two lakh. Is. Every day in the temple.

Met a young couple who had come to Ram temple with an infant. “It took us just half an hour to get darshan. It was a beautiful experience. The system is very good,” he said. An elderly couple from Bihar said it took them an hour to have darshan. “The arrangements are good, so we thank the Chief Minister for this. We came here for devotion, we did not face any problem,” he said.

An old man saw us talking to people in the temple about the waiting time and intervened. “So what if we have to wait for an hour to have darshan of Ramlala? It was a wait of 500 years for Hindus; We can definitely wait for an hour now,” he said.
A couple from Madhya Pradesh said there is a need for multiple guidance centers in Ayodhya as an outsider does not know from whom to ask for guidance or what protocols to follow. “There should be LED screens indicating which route to take, where to deposit the goods etc. It was difficult for us to walk for so long but when we saw Ram Lala, our pain went away. The new statue is mesmerizing,” said the couple.

A young girl who came with her family from Telangana said that it is a divine darshan and interest is being aroused towards Ram temple among the youth also. “We need to learn about our roots and the struggle here. I have heard that a big museum depicting the struggle of this temple will also be built inside the complex soon and it would be good for everyone to see it,” she said.

Another highlight is the free wheelchair service run by the temple trust for the elderly – many thank the administration for this. An 85-year-old man from Gwalior, who used the wheelchair service with an assistant provided by the trust, said it was good to have such a facility. Some others who used it said the upgrade was needed because demand was high but many of the wheelchairs were not in good condition.
Met a group of pilgrims from Kerala at Ram ki Paidi near Saryu Ghat and met another group of 44 people from Tamil Nadu who had come to Ayodhya for the first time after the opening of the Ram temple. “Lord Ram is revered in the south…We have come here from all this distance to see the grand temple. Ayodhya has now become an attraction for Ramlala devotees from all over India. We need to know our roots and our struggle…This is a proud moment for Hindus across the world. I don’t think the temple would have been possible without PM Modi and CM Yogi,” said members of the group from Kerala.

The message from Ayodhya is clear: Let’s have darshan of Ramlala. With Ram Navami and the summer holiday season approaching in April, the constant flow of people here is not going to slow down any time soon.
